Who said you can’t learn and have fun at the same time? Come spend your school breaks with the zoo! Programs are available for February, April, and summer break for children ages 4 – 12. Each week focuses on a different theme through hands-on activities, crafts, games, tours of the zoo, and animal encounters!

Registration for ALL camps open on January 1, 2018.

Winter ZooCrew

Winter Theme: Olympics
Are you ready to light the torch on another Olympic season? What if animals competed? Who would take the gold medal? Join us as we find out and test our own athletic abilities.

  • Ages: 6-10 year olds
  • Dates: February 20, 21, 22, 23 (daily registration)Cody Meets World 2
  • Time: 9am – 4pm
  • Cost: $40/day for Zoo Member; $45/day for Non-member
  • Registration closes on: February 1, 2018

Cancellation policy: Complete refunds minus a $25.00 fee will be given up to February 10, 2018 for Winter; April 10, 2018 for Spring; & June 1, 2018 for Summer ZooCrew. Absolutely no refunds will be made after these dates.

 

 

 

Spring ZooCrew 

The Most Extreme: Body Parts
Why do elephants have long trunks? Why do fennec foxes have big ears? Join us as we discover some of the most extreme body parts in the animal kingdom and how they help these animals survive.

  • Ages: 6-10 year-olds
  • Dates: April 17, 18, 19, 20 (daily registration)
  • Time: 9am – 4pm
  • Cost: $40/day for Zoo Member; $45/day for Non-member
  • Registration closes on: April 1, 2018

Summer ZooCrew

July through August 2017
Ages: Various programs for children ages 4-12
Cost: Half day option for 4&5 year olds, $100/members, $115/non-members (runs 9am-12pm)
Full day, week long registration, $200/members, $225/non-members (run 9am – 4pm)
Full day, week long registration – ZooCrew Trekkers camp $225/members, $250/non-members (ZooCrew Trekkers only)
Time: Programs run 9am-4pm daily (half day option for 4 & 5 year olds runs from 9-12pm daily)
Registration closes: One week prior to the start of the session

Budding Scientists: How do plants grow? How do they breathe? Why are animals like bees, birds and bats so important to plants? Join us as we find out just how amazing plants and the animals that need them can be!

Mythical Creatures: Explore the world of unicorns, dragons, fairies, and more. Compare these mythical creatures to their real animal counterparts.

Week of 8/6/2018
Where in the World: Where can you find giant sequoias or bumble bee bats? Join us and discover where in the world you can find different plants and animals.


8 & 9 year olds

Survivor: Do you think you have what it takes to survive? Explore and discover the amazing adaptations that animals have to help them survive.

Sense-sational Animals: Explore our 5 senses and how they match up to animal senses. Do all animals have the same senses?

Animal Myth Busters: Explore common myths and misconceptions about animals and discover the truth about these fascinating creatures.


10 – 12 year olds

Week of 8/6/2018
Wildlife Warriors: Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a conservation biologist? Explore conservation through an introduction to hands-on citizen science projects.

Week of 8/13/2018
Great Adaptations: Why do some species survive while others do not? Explore how genetics, adaptations and evolution play a role in the game of survival.

Week of 7/23/2018
ZooCrew Trekkers*: Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a real biologist? Join us as we leave the Zoo and explore some of our local environments!
