Who said you can’t learn and have fun at the same time? Come spend your school breaks with the Zoo! Programs are available for February, April, and summer break for children ages 4 – 12. Each week focuses on a different theme through hands-on activities, crafts, games, tours of the zoo, and animal encounters!

Registration for ALL camps open on January 1, 2020.

 

 

Winter ZooCrew

The Four Seasons
Winter, spring, summer, and fall! Join us as we explore the unique aspects of our four seasons and discover how different animals prepare for them.

 

  • Ages: 6-10 year olds
  • Dates: February 18, 19, 20, 21 (daily registration)Cody Meets World 2
  • Time: 9am – 4pm
  • Cost: $40/day for Zoo Member; $45/day for Non-member
  • Registration closes on: February 10, 2020

Cancellation policy: Complete refunds minus a $25.00 fee will be given up to February 10, 2020 for Winter; April 10, 2020 for Spring; & June 1, 2020 for Summer ZooCrew. Absolutely no refunds will be made after these dates.

 

 

 

Spring ZooCrew

The Most Extreme: Parents
Did you know that a female Octopus will go months without eating while she guards and takes care of her eggs? Or that the tiny Strawberry Poison Dart Frog will carry each of her tadpoles to the top of a different tree and visit them every single day? Join us as we explore nature’s most miraculous moms and daredevil dads in The Most Extreme: Parent Edition!

 

  • Ages: 6-10 year-olds
  • Dates: April 21, 22, 23, 24 (daily registration)
  • Time: 9am – 4pm
  • Cost: $40/day for Zoo Member; $45/day for Non-member
  • Registration closes on: April 1, 2020

Summer ZooCrew

July through August 
Ages: Various programs for children ages 4-12
Cost: Half day option for 4 & 5 year olds, $100/members, $115/non-members (runs 9am-12pm)
Full day, week long registration, $200/members, $225/non-members (run 9am – 4pm)
Full day, week long registration – ZooCrew Trekkers camp $225/members, $250/non-members (ZooCrew Trekkers only)
Time: Programs run 9am-4pm daily (half day option for 4 & 5 year olds runs from 9-12pm daily)
Registration closes: One week prior to the start of the session

The Summer ZooCrew Scholarship, when available, provides children ages 4 – 12 an opportunity to participate in our ZooCrew program at a low cost or no cost to families based on financial need and the child’s submission of a request. Mythical Creatures: Explore the world of unicorns, dragons, fairies, and more as we compare our favorite mythical creatures to the real-life animals that inspired them!

Where in the World?: Where can you find giant sequoias or tiny bumblebee bats? Join us to discover where in the world you can find some of the most incredible plants and animals!

Sense-ational Animals: Have you ever wondered how animals get information about the world around them? Join us as we use our 5 senses to explore what it’s like to be an animal!

Animal Mythbusters: Do Ostriches really bury their heads in the sand? Does a Goldfish truly only have a 3-second memory? Are Daddy Long-Legs actually incredibly venomous? Explore common myths and misconceptions about animals and discover the truth about these fascinating creatures.

Survivor!: Do YOU have what it takes to survive? Explore and discover the amazing adaptations that different animals use to survive crazy conditions!

ZooCrew Trekkers: Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a real biologist? Join us as we leave the Zoo and explore some of our local environments!

**Please note that the price of the ZooCrew Trekkers program is different due to the offsite adventures taken during this week ($225/members, $250/non-members).

Wildlife Warriors: Have you ever wondered what YOU can do to help protect the Earth? Explore what it’s like to be a Conservation Biologist during this wild week of hands-on citizen science projects.

Week of 8/10/2020
Great Adaptations: Why do some species survive while others go extinct? Together, we will investigate the roles that genetics, adaptations, and evolution play in the game of survival.
