New coyote the latest addition to zoo’s animal ambassador program
Molly, a five-month-old pup, has joined Cody, 18 months old, in the coyote exhibit at Buttonwood Park Zoo. Molly’s journey to New Bedford began on a back road in Texas, where her mother was struck and killed by a vehicle. A wildlife rehabilitator drove by the dead female and noticed she was pregnant. The rehabilitator performed an emergency Cesarean and saved four pups.
