Community Bamboo Program
Many of our animals, including elephants and red pandas, love eating many species of bamboo. Our animals may consume over 200 pounds of vegetation daily. As result, we are always seeking donations of bamboo from private landowners that we can harvest for our animals. If you are interested in donating cut bamboo to the Zoo from your property, please fill out this form. We are more than happy to cut and transport the bamboo, just provide us a little more information!
A baby red panda!?
On June 4th, the BPZOO welcomed the first red panda cub to be born here in its 126 year history!
