125th Anniversary
What an exciting year it is for the Buttonwood Park Zoo!

Established in 1894, Buttonwood Park Zoo is the 12th oldest zoo in the United States and proudly accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. What once started as a menagerie, has since turned into an institution with a mission focused on environmental education, excellence in animal care and welfare, the conservation of endangered species, and connecting the community to the natural world. We have come a long way in the past 125 years, but we are now becoming one of the finest small zoos in the world.
Come celebrate our history and embrace our exciting future! We welcome our community to celebrate with us throughout the year with fun events, giveaways and specials.
