BOO AT THE ZOO
Slightly spooky Fun for the Whole Family
10:00am – 5:00pm
Now in its 18th year, Boo at the Zoo will run during the day this year!
The SouthCoasts’ favorite fall tradition is back! Dress the kids in their favorite costume and explore 10 trick-or-treat stations while enjoying unlimited rides, free face painting, Halloween-themed animal enrichment, up close personal encounters with the zoo’s animal ambassadors, fall themed crafts and activities for children of all ages, and Halloween decorations at every turn. Families are encouraged to bring their own “trick or treat” bags. All proceeds from Boo at the Zoo support the Zoo’s educational and family programs.
If you’ve got it, haunt it! Upon cancelling Baby Boo due to the weather, we have incorporated a modified costume contest into this Saturday’s Boo event! Pick up your number when you first enter the Zoo if you would like to participate and stop by the judges station from 10:30 – 11:30, 12:30 – 1:30, and 2:30 – 3:30 to show of those costumes and take a picture! The winners will be announced at 4:30 at the Zoo and also on our Facebook page. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories with 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners: Best Animal Costume, Most Creative Costume, Cutest Costume, and Best Parent/Child Combination Costume.
