New Bedford/Dartmouth, MA - September 7, 2007

The Buttonwood Park Zoological Society announced two new members to its Board of Directors. Roz Bernheimer, of Dartmouth, is a graduate of Bennington College and worked for several years for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Boston University School of Education. She has served as a trustee of Bennington College and the Concert Dance Company of Boston. Also joining the Board of Directors is Attorney Blair Bailey, of New Bedford. He is town counsel for the Town of Rochester and a tax attorney for the City of New Bedford.

The Buttonwood Park Zoological Society is a private, nonprofit organization that supports Buttonwood Park Zoo through a variety of activities, including fund raising for educational, conservation and volunteer programs, presenting special events such as Boo at the Zoo and Holiday Lights at the Zoo, and marketing the zoo and operating the Bear's Den Café, North Woods Gift Store, the Zoo Choo-Choo, pony rides, the Zoo Overnight program.
